Switch the Winter Gear with Spring Stuff

Spring is a season with warm afternoons and cool nights. This could be a tricky time for choosing the appropriate clothing. Last week we looked at some of the ways you can dress up for springs. But in this article we will talk about the small changes here and there that will allow you to stay in line with spring clothing without much hassle. All you need to do is to switch simple pieces of clothing to completely transform your winter wear to spring appropriate clothing. Let’s take a look on how to do so.

Scarves:
Winters demand something warm and cozy. Spring demands something comfortable and handy to avoid cool. For scarves category, simply switch the wool or blanket scarves with silk scarves. You can continue to carry your winter fashion statement but a simple change in scarf cloth will do wonders for your style and clothing sense.

Shoes:
Shoes: Boots are the all-time favorite wear of winters. Springs however are not a time to carry those boots. At the same time, the weather isn’t suitable for slippers either. For this transitioning weather, choose sneakers instead. Sneakers are available in a wide array of colors so this would be very helpful for almost all your spring clothing.

Layering:
Faux coats and leather jackets are heaven for the chilly winters. However, one strong sunny day and spring arrives making them obsolete in the fashion directory. To avoid any uncomfortable clothing and to stay at top of your fashion game, go with suede and denim jackets instead. They are thick enough to avoid the chilly feeling and light enough to avoid any suffocation with heat. Plus they are of thinner fabrics making them just the perfect choice for springs.

Bonus Tip:
Another way to fit your winter clothing into spring is to keep it handy but not wear it. Tying up the sleeves of your sweater around your waist or simply throwing them around your shoulders would make you look great and suit the spring weather too. You can do the same with scarves and shawls. Just let them hanging on your shoulders instead of draping or tying them around you.

Know your Harrington Jackets?

Spring is here and this is the most difficult time of the season because if you layer yourself then it’s too hot and if you wear only shirt then it is very cold. But we have exactly the right option, which is a Harrington jacket. This jacket has its origin from England. In 1930s it was made by most of the companies in England. Soon it was exported to the US and this became a style stale there and from there to though out the world. Hmm so you are asking what exactly a Harrington jacket is. Do not worry we are going to explain every aspect of this jacket.

A Harrington jacket is a waist length jacket with a zipper and has the following features:
1. It is made with a lightweight and water-resistant material. Nowadays it is also available in leather, suede or wool but traditionally it is made from 100% cotton or cotton blend.
2. The cuffs of the sleeve cuffs and bottom hem are made with an elasticized material.
3. As far as pockets are concerned then slanted, buttoned, flap pockets are made on each side of the front of the jacket.
4. There is an umbrella-inspired vent on the back of the jacket. The is designed to run rainwater off the shoulders, and over the waistband, so your pants don’t get wet.
5. The collar of the jacket is double-button, straight, stand-up and mandarin style. This will give the shape of funnel to the collar that can be snapped shut so rain doesn’t go down your neck.
6. The sleeves of the jacket are raglan styled for added range of motion. Raglan sleeves are those sleeves that start up by the collar, rather than being attached flush with the shoulder.
7. The last characteristic is lining with a tartan pattern design.
